Have you ever asked God for forgiveness... but still found yourself carrying the guilt?
Maybe you've repented. Maybe you've cried. Maybe you've asked God to forgive you more than once. Yet every time you think you've moved forward, the memories return and the shame whispers that you'll never be free.
In this episode of Healing After Hours, we're talking about the difference between conviction and condemnation, why guilt can linger even after we've received God's forgiveness, and how to stop allowing your past to define your present.
If you've been struggling to believe that God has truly forgiven you, or you find yourself replaying old mistakes and punishing yourself for things God has already covered with His grace, this conversation is for you.
God's forgiveness is meant to bring freedom, not keep you trapped in shame.
Tonight, let's talk about what it looks like to receive His grace and stop living as though you're still condemned.

No matter what you've done in your past, do you know that God will forgive you? Actually, forgive yourself for even doing those things. You're the one holding yourself bound, you're the one holding on to all those little secrets that you got going on and not knowing that God already saw it. God sees everything you do. So don't allow the enemy to keep playing in your mind, thinking that you're no good, thinking that you can't be loved, thinking that God does not care about you. God does care about you, but do you care about God? Have you made a choice to change your life? Have you said, I don't want to live like this anymore, God? Get me out of it. And has God done it? But you went back. It's okay. As long as you still got breath in your body, come back to God or get a relationship with the Lord. You should not be dealing with all these things on your own. There's a lot going on in your life. A lot of different things, a lot of done things you've done. A lot of things you don't think you deserve forgiveness for. But God will forgive you. Lay it all out before God. Get on your knees, cry out to God, pray to God, release every single thing. No matter if you think it's good or think it's bad, release it all to God because the enemy is holding that over your head. That's what keeps coming to your mind. The enemy keeps banging you in here in your mind. Release yourself in the name of Jesus. Glory. Hallelujah. Release yourself in the name of Jesus. If you get everything out of your mouth, pray to God and release it. The enemy no longer has control over you, making you drink, making you smoke, making you curse, making you show out, making you act up, making you drive down a road, wanting to cause or harm to yourself, making you do all of these things. This is the enemy. It's trying to take you out because greater is in you that's in this world. Remember that nothing in this world is gonna bring you the peace like God will bring. You're gonna go through things anyway. Go through it with God. Go repent, go lay down, lay at the foot of the throne of God. Get it all out, speak it, and say, God, I release this to you. I do not want it anymore. Heal me, help me, Lord, and set me free. In Jesus' name. Amen.
